Chanting, a devotion to Babaji
When we chant, the sounds vibrate in the body, and thus the vagus nerve vibrates, is stimulated, and is touched. That’s the physical reason chanting has an impact on our nervous system.
Chanting can release blockages in the body and nervous system, and open the body up, and raise the vibration and sense of wellbeing.
Chanting every day and being devotional, really helps bring this about. The more we chant a particular chant, the more its effect becomes apparent to us, and the more it can affect us positively.
If it’s hard in the beginning, it can help just to try to not take it seriously. Are you needing to be good, perfect?
If you just do it anyway, find a way not to care or just to do it anyway, even if you care that it does not seem to be as “good” as you think it should be. Over time, magic can happen.
Chant:
Om Mahavatara Vidmahe
Sat Gurudevaya Deemahi
Tanno Babaji Prachodayat
Breathwork
Breathwork also stimulates the vagus nerve. As we breathe, it stimulates it in the throat. I feel that breathing into the nose often increases that effect. But breathing through the mouth is also good and can increase emotional release.
The increased oxygen in the body also has an impact on the energy body and creates a condition for change, movement of stuck energy in the body.
The breathwork below is a fire breath and then a breath hold. This is good to elevate mood and energy, to help masculine energy and doing. This is not the best way to release emotions; it can work, but you may then need to be careful not to hold too much. Watch out if you are pushing yourself in the holding part.
Prayer
Heavenly prayer of light. This prayer is great to bring in love, light and peace. To balance the aura, the energy field, as a consequence, brings in protection through asking the Devine for help but also through the balancing that happens in reciting it.
I like to actively say the words in silence or up loud. And as I do, I focus my awareness on the part of the space that is mentioned. E.g. Love in front of me, then I focus in front of me, behind me…
