Maria Magdalena Journey

Maria Magdalena Journey

A small group pilgrimage through sacred Magdalene locations in France, combining visits to historical sites with quiet practices that support sensitivity, embodiment, and personal reflection.

A pilgrimage through sacred locations connected with the Magdalene tradition. These places carry a long history of devotion and presence, and we will visit them slowly, allowing time to feel and sense the atmosphere of each location.

On this journey you will be supported in deepening your sensitivity, or increasing it, depending on where you find yourself on your path. As we move through these places you will have the opportunity to feel into the subtle atmosphere of the locations and to recognize the qualities associated with the Magdalene vibration.

Through direct experience with the places themselves, participants can begin to sense the frequency of these locations and what they evoke internally.

During the journey I will help reflect and point toward the energetic qualities of the locations we visit, offering guidance for how to feel and recognize them for yourself.

Practices that may be used during the journey include somatic awareness, Ankh breathing, Holy Grail breathing visualization, and group sharing where participants can speak about what they notice and experience. Mirroring and reflective listening may also be used when helpful.

Participation in practices is always optional. Each person is free to engage in the way that feels supportive for them.

The journey invites participants to listen to their own inner guidance and curiosity, allowing the experience of the places to unfold naturally.

What the journey includes

Visits to sacred Magdalene locations in France

We travel to sites including Chartres, Vézelay, Saint-Maximin-la-Sainte-Baume, and locations in Cathar country, spending time at each to feel and receive what is present there.

Small group container

Just four participants, creating intimacy and safety for deeper work without getting lost in a crowd.

Morning practices and quiet reflection

We begin each day with grounding practices such as Ankh breathing and the Holy Grail breathing visualization before we travel.

Somatic awareness exercises

Practices that help you recognize what you are sensing in yourself and others, developing the ability to feel and track subtle experience.

Water ‘baptism’ ceremony

At a river location along the journey there will be the opportunity for a simple water initiation or baptism. This comes from guidance received in connection with the Magdalene current and is offered as an optional ritual for those who feel called to participate.

Time for personal integration

Space for rest, journaling, walking, or simply being with what is moving in you. The itinerary is intentionally not packed.

Shared meals and informal group connection

Most evenings we cook and eat together, allowing natural connection without structured group processing.

The rhythm of the days:

Most mornings begin quietly with a short practice before breakfast. We gather for simple breathing practices, chanting, or meditation, allowing the body and attention to settle before the day begins.

Afterwards we usually walk or drive to a local bakery for breakfast before continuing the journey.

Each day we travel to one of the sacred locations along the route. At the sites themselves we spend time simply being there—sometimes quietly, sometimes sharing what we notice, sometimes exploring the surroundings together.

Travel between places is part of the pilgrimage. Some days involve only short drives, while others include longer stretches through the countryside, with pauses along the way when needed.

Afternoons and evenings allow space for integration. This might include somatic awareness exercises, quiet reflection, walking in nature, or simply resting.

Most evenings we cook and share meals together.

During the days at Sainte-Baume and later around Rennes-les-Bains, the pace slows further, with more time to spend in nature, visit nearby sacred places, and follow personal curiosity.

Participation in practices is always optional, and everyone is free to move at their own rhythm within the journey.

Who this experience is designed for

This journey is for people who feel drawn to the Magdalene mystery and these sacred locations in France.

It may resonate with those interested in sensing the atmosphere of places, working with somatics and presence, and inner exploration.

Participants need to be comfortable traveling together in a shared vehicle and with group sharing (always optional).

About me:

My name is Vidir. I’ve been traveling the world spiritually for eight years, following my inner guidance and feeling the frequency of different locations. I’ve been to Bali, Egypt, Israel, Palestine, Jordan, Mexico, Guatemala, India, Thailand, and throughout Europe.

For a long time, I didn’t think there were spiritual vibrations of interest in Europe, so I focused elsewhere. But then I found myself in Germany and remembered hearing about the Magdalena mystery when I was young. I’d seen Tom Kenyon’s book The Magdalene Manuscript when it came out but somehow never read it. But, something called me to these French locations.

Hearing the call:

I was planning to go with my girlfriend, but she felt called to Scotland instead. Then a friend mentioned he was going on a Magdalena trip to France, and I told him I’d been thinking about it too. He said, “If you’ve heard the call, feel free to join.”

I got really hung up on that wording – “heard the call.” I’d felt interested, felt drawn, but I hadn’t heard it. Then I was at the gym doing heavy deadlifts, and this voice came through: Come to France with us. Come to France. I recognized it as Magdalena. So now I’d heard the call, and I let my friend know I was coming.

The journey:

On that first trip, I could really get in strong touch with Magdalena in these locations – some stronger than others. I could feel that she’s really present in the French land and in the sweet French people who come to these sites. It seems to me she’s a big part of their history, the themes that have been playing out there.

I went been back four times total within one year. I just really love this area.

I resonate very much with the energy in the Pyrenees. The Celtic energy is also there, Merlin and King Arthur – I can really feel it. It’s a journey of magical experiences and beautiful energies to be felt and received.

What I bring:

I’m a somatic practitioner – I work with the body, but I also incorporate somatic awareness, Gene Keys, Human Design, and navigating presence and stillness through the body. I’m from Iceland and currently located there for the first time in eight years.

I’ve always been drawn to the ancient Egyptian mysteries and the rose lineage connecting Egypt, Judaism, and Christianity. Finding the Law of One was a spiritual leap that confirmed there’s a Source of all things. I see a direct connection between these traditions and the Magdalena current.”

This journey is an invitation to experience what I’ve found in these places – to feel the Magdalena frequency for yourself, to receive the codes and energies present in these locations, and to deepen your own sensitivity and connection to the sacred.
